18:3-4. Ahab called Obadiah who was over the household (Now Obadiah feared the Lord greatly; for when Jezebel destroyed the prophets of the Lord, Obadiah took a hundred prophets and hid them by fifties in a cave, and provided them with bread and water.)
1 Samuel 12:14. “If you will fear the Lord and serve Him, and listen to His voice and not rebel against the command of the Lord, then both you and also the king who reigns over you will follow the Lord your God.” 12:24. “Only fear the Lord and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.”
2 Chronicles 14:14. They destroyed all the cities around Gerar, for the dread of the LORD had fallen on them; and they despoiled all the cities, for there was much plunder in them.
Acts 9:31. So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria enjoyed peace, being built up; and going on in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it continued to increase. 10:2. . . . a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, and gave many alms to the Jewish people and prayed to God continually.
Daniel 5:6. Then the king’s face grew pale and his thoughts alarmed him, and his hip joints went slack and his knees began knocking together.
Deuteronomy 6:13. “You shall fear only the Lord your God; and you shall worship Him and swear by His name.” 6:24. “So the Lord commanded us to observe all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God for our good always and for our survival, as it is today. 31:12-13. “Assemble the people, the men and the women and children and the alien who is in your town, so that they may hear and learn and fear the Lord your God, and be careful to observe all the words of this law. Their children, who have not known, will hear and learn to fear the Lord your God, as long as you live on the land which you are about to cross the Jordan to possess.”
Exodus 1:17. But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt had commanded them, but let the boys live. 15:16. “Terror and dread fall upon them; By the greatness of Your arm they are motionless as stone; Until Your people pass over, O Lord, Until the people pass over whom You have purchased.” 23:27. “I will send My terror ahead of you, and throw into confusion all the people among whom you come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.”
Genesis 3:8-13. They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?” He said, “I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself.” 20:11. Abraham said, Because I thought, surely there is no fear of God in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.” 22:12. He said, “Do not stretch out your hand against the lad, and do nothing to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.” 28:16-17. Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it.” He was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.” 35:5. As they journeyed, there was a great terror upon the cities which were around them, and they did not pursue the sons of Jacob. 42:18. Now Joseph said to them on the third day, “Do this and live, for I fear God.”
Hebrews 11:7. By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
Isaiah 33:6. And He will be the stability of your times, A wealth of salvation, wisdom and knowledge; The fear of the Lord is his treasure.
James 2:19. You believe that God is one You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.
Jeremiah 26:19. “Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him to death? Did he not fear the Lord and entreat the favor of the Lord, and the Lord changed His mind about the misfortune which He had pronounced against them? But we are committing a great evil against ourselves.”
Job 1:8. The Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil.”
Jonah 1:9. He said to them, “I am a Hebrew, and I fear the Lord God of heaven who made the sea and the dry land.” 1:16. Then the men feared the Lord greatly, and they offered a sacrifice to the Lord and made vows.
Joshua 2:11. “When we heard it, our hearts melted and no courage remained in any man any longer because of you; for the Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.” 4:24. “. . . that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the Lord is mighty, so that you may fear the Lord your God forever.” 24:14. “Now, therefore, fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and truth; and put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.”
Malachi 3:16. Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and who esteem His name.
Nehemiah 5:15. But the former governors who were before me laid burdens on the people and took from them bread and wine besides forty shekels of silver; even their servants domineered the people. But I did not do so because of the fear of God. 7:2. then I put Hanani my brother, and Hananiah the commander of the fortress, in charge of Jerusalem, for he was a faithful man and feared God more than many.
Proverbs 1:7. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction. 15:33. The fear of the Lord is the instruction for wisdom, And before honor comes humility.
Psalm 2:11. Worship the Lord with reverence And rejoice with trembling. 25:12. Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. 31:19. How great is Your goodness, Which You have stored up for those who fear You, Which You have wrought for those who take refuge in You, Before the sons of men! 34:7-9. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, And rescues them. O taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! O fear the Lord, you His saints; For to those who fear Him there is no want. 128:1-2. How blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways. When you shall eat of the fruit of your hands, You will be happy and it will be well with you.
Revelation 14:7. . . . and he said with a loud voice, “Fear God, and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters.” 15:4. “Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy; For all the nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.”
